Sapporo Snow Festival 2024 Latest Information and On-Site Photos
The 2024 Sapporo Snow Festival is about to begin!
This year's event is scheduled from Feb. 4 to Feb. 11.
There are three venues: Odori Venue, Susukino Venue, and Tsudome Venue.

1. Chairman Odori
Odori is located in Odori Park in the center of Sapporo.
It starts at Nishi 1-chome and continues to Nishi 11-chome.
It is about 1.5 kilometers long and has a variety of large and small snow and ice sculptures on display.
During the event, various lights will be lit from sunset to 10 p.m.
There are 12 blocks from 1-chome to 12-chome.
It takes about 30 minutes to walk from one end to the other.

1-chome – Sapporo Curling Experience Park
You can experience curling with the same rules as the official game.
The popular curling team will perform here on February 10 and 11.
Admission: Elementary school students and older: 500 yen
1-chome footbath experience
On February 10th and 11th, the footbath experience will be held
You can experience Japan's hot spring culture.
If you complete the questionnaire, you may also receive a sample of herbal bath salts.
2-chome Snow Hatsune
Here, you can admire Yuki Miku's medium-sized snow sculpture.

Appearing in various events such as anime, games, and popular participants
There is also a small snow sculpture, so please take a look at it yourself~
The Odori venue is currently in the preparatory stage (submission date 1.29).
Medium and large snow statues are yet to be completed.

Snow sculptures for citizens and small snow sculptures for various enterprises and units are basically in the completion stage.
A lot of our staff are putting the finishing touches on it.
This year's Snow Festival was attended not only by Japanese teams but also by many foreign teams.
Currently, the Odori performance hall is before the opening, and only a part of the snow can be faintly seen from both sides.
Nonetheless, many tourists and citizens came to see it.
2. Susukino venue
Susukino venues range from Minami 4 trillion streets to Minami 6 trillion streets.
Themed "Ice and Snow Fun" under the neon lights
Large and medium-sized ice sculptures greet you.
In the Exchange Square, fish and mascots of each broadcasting station are displayed.
There are ice sculptures, photo services, and information desks, which are well received.
3. Chairman Tsudome
Tsudome venue is located at 885-1 Echimachi, Higashi-ku, Sapporo.
It has both indoor and outdoor spaces,
Slides, snowrafts, and other facilities suitable for family fun are widely acclaimed.
Indoor areas include food stalls, seating areas and a play area for children.
Compared to the other two venues, the distance is great
It takes more than 30 minutes by subway from Sapporo Station to Sakaemachi Station.
A shuttle bus runs from Sakaemachi Station to the venue.
The fee is 100 yen* (cash only).

Winter in Sapporo is often accompanied by heavy snow and strong winds.
Most snow festivals take place outdoors, so it's best to wear warm clothing.
There is a large temperature difference between indoor and outdoor, so to be able to adapt to temperature changes
It is recommended that you wear clothes that are easy to put on and take off.
Carry an umbrella, hat, and gloves just in case.
There is a lot of snow on the road, so cold boots are suitable.
