Heavy snow began to fall in January when we entered the middle of winter.
Covering the beautiful campus with snowflakes

It takes about 7 minutes on foot from the North Exit of Sapporo Station to the main gate of Hokkaido University.
It is open to both citizens and tourists free of charge,
There are many spots on campus that you can visit for free, so it's a great place to take pictures.
It is very suitable for a group of friends or a family outing.

It was built in 1936 to welcome Emperor Showa.
In addition to tourists, it is one of the favorite spots of Hokkaido university students is!

Elm Forest
We provide information about campus activities and a guided campus sightseeing tour.
We also provide free information in multiple languages.
If you are interested, you can pick it up on the left side of the entrance to Elm Grove.
There are also shops and cafes in the vicinity.

Central Lawn
The approximately 12,000 square metre central lawn is perfect for photography and picnics.

Sakushukotoni River
To the river located on the central lawn
Mandarin couple and cubs appear from time to time,

In winter, the Sakushukotoni River becomes a playground for crows.

Furukawa Auditorium

Sapporo Agricultural School 2nd Farm
The Sapporo Agricultural School No. 2 Farm is an Important Cultural Property with a history of 150 years.
Many of the red-roofed wooden buildings that were on the farm at that time still remain.
Except in winter, there are many cow models on display.
From a distance, it feels like you've stepped back 150 years.

At the end of the walk, go out of the campus through the North Gate 18.
You can get there by taking the subway line north and south.
